RavenclawIt was not uncommon for the she-cat to get injured. That was a fact of life for this clan which meant her trips to the medicine cat were in the many. This time she had slipped while chasing a frog, a twig had snatched the edge of the fur on her left leg. Leaving a nasty open wound looking scratch. Ravenclaw grumbled silently as she entered the medicine cats den to look for them.
Being accident prone was never a fun venture, especially since she probably wouldn't hear the end of it from her mother now. Half of her couldn't believe they were both warriors. She half expected in the back of her mind for her mother to remain a queen - as an insult of course. Alas, she-cats without kits were bound to return to their duties. Ravenclaw was left to wonder when her mother actually would retire though.

Fawnstep's head quickly poked up when she noticed someone was entering her den. She quickly noticed the black furred she-cat to be Ravenclaw, since the warrior was always finding her way into the medicine cat's den for one reason or another. She hovered in her place for a moment, taking time to glance over the she-cat for her injury location, and to take note if she scented any sickness coming from her. Though she loved her job the frail little she-cat had always been a stickler for germs, always catching sickness easily. It was why she tried to hover in her den around her herbs more often then not.
Partial to her routine, and because she knew Ravenclaw would always come in with some sort of bleeding wound, she simply rose up to her petite paws and made her way over to one side of the den. "So?" She hummed almost teasingly as she waited to hear the story of Ravenclaw's injury. Once she had made her way to her desired spot she shuffled through a few herbs, easily locating a small clump of sticky cobwebs.

RavenclawThe she-cat huffed softly. She was thankful for Fawnstep sure, but the grouchy black cat was not known for her kind and gentle words. "It's just a scratch this time." she conjectured as she pulled out the left paw where the scratch led up her wrist about two inches in length. It stung like hell, like most small wounds did - they looked like nothing but caused a great deal of pain in the end.
"I was trying to catch a frog when a twig went and bit my leg." With it being leaf-bare there was no wonder she was upset she lost her kill. The kits and others needed prey as such Ravenclaw had been attempting to gather some. Where she saw where this got her this time.

Fawnstep crept closer to the outstretched paw, tilting her head a little as her keen eyes examined and her pricked ears listened to the story. She nodded a little before reaching down to begin ever so gently dabbing at the scratch to draw away any blood that still covered the wound. After looking over the scratch she withdrew and offered a smile as she placed the cobweb down in front of her. "Be sure to keep pressure on your wound with this while I grab some dock and goldenrod?" She hummed as she made her way towards her stash of wound healing herbs assigned neatly in their piles.
The small she-cat gently nosed the pieces she found most desirable out of the piles, a large dock leaf and a nice goldenrod flower, before grabbing the two and making her way back to Ravenclaw. The challenge to get her pile of goldenrod certainly had been a challenge since Windclan territory had the best variety and growth of them. "The dock leaf will help soothe pain, and the goldenrod will help heal." She felt the need to explain, as she always did, before deciding to apply the goldenrod first. She leaned down and carefully began chewing the flower into a poultice to spread against the scratch.

RavenclawRavenclaw went silent for a moment. Bringing up her free paw to hold pressure on the wound as Fawnstep went to grab the herbs. Ravenclaw's own green eyes took it upon themselves to look around the den. The herb supply smelt sweetly to her, as the bitter ones didn't have such a high affinity on her radar. It didn't take long for the other she-cat to get back though. Seeing as Fawnstep was slightly smaller than Ravenclaw - she couldn't help but to smile a bit she was a little bit cute. She always thought that whenever she looked at Fawnstep healing her.
Ravenclaw nodded her head, thankful that she was going to be given something for pain. "Thank you Fawnstep." Ravenclaw said simply as her tail flicked from side to side. Well this meeting had been rather short, not that it was a problem.

"Of course!" Fawnstep purred, happy to have the praise. Her fluffy tail moved too and fro on the den floor as she concentrated, taking a moment to make sure the mush of herbs wouldn't fall away before shifting to lean back down towards the dock leaf. Before taking it into her mouth she looked up at the black she-cat with a warm smile and attempted to start a conversation. "See any prey out, at least? Other then the frog, of course." Even though she knew Ravenclaw wasn't much for conversation it never hurt to try and make a friend, right?

RavenclawIt was certainly awkward between the two. Except she was used to awkward - her lack of emotion got her in that position a lot. As she was done being treated Fawnstep would try hard at starting a conversation. "Other than that frog we're pretty low, unless we all want to eat worms for leaf-bare." Ravenclaw would stick out her tongue, disgusted by the thought that she would have to eat an incest all season.
"I'll probably go out later to find some more frogs. Can't have the queen's going hungry." She logically thought out loud as she looked above her. It was a sign of her thought process following through that was all.

As she finished chewing down the dock leaf into mush she began spreading it gently over Ravenclaw's paw, her eyes looking up in innocent curiosity to hear the answer. She couldn't help but giggle a little at the response she heard, however, and sat up, reaching out to briefly and reassuringly press her nose to the black fur of her companions shoulder in a sign of reassurance. "Things will get better- You just have to be patient." She stated comfortingly after pulling away, her tail moving to glide neatly around her tiny paws. "But I would certainly hope we don't have to live off of worms this leaf bare." She crinkled her little pink nose at the thought, her whiskers twitching a little in disgust.

RavenclawRavenclaw was a little surprised by the affection, though it wasn't unwelcome. Her worry was starvation for the clan - it wasn't as if she could feel bad if she failed to gather prey. That was the fact of life and while she was unsure why Starclan had made her that way, it made it easier to deliver judgement where it was needed. "You and I both know patience is like asking me to be nice for a change." she snorted mildly with a soft chuckle at the end of it.
"Don't worry, they won't let you eat worms. I don't know what they would do if our dear medicine cat got sick." Ravenclaw teased lightly as she used her good paw to swipe gently at the other. No claws out, after all she didn't intend on hurting her.

Fawnstep couldn't help but let a big grin grace her features at Ravenclaw's serious comment. She had learned that quickly when the black she-cat first started coming into the den- Patience certainly was no her strong point. She hummed in amusement as she continued to listen, head tilted thoughtfully. Her toothy smile slowly faded down to a grimace, her whiskers twitching a little as a shiver shook it's way through her little body. That was the last thing she wanted. Even as a kit Fawnstep had been a tiny and frail little thing, easily prone to any sort of sickness that tried to infect the clan. She attempted to shake the scary, for her, thought off and offered a weak smile of response when Ravenclaw playfully batted out at her.

RavenclawThe mood seemed to be turning sour. Ravenclaw didn't understand Fawnstep's fears. After all, cats died all the time. She had no fear of death knowing it would also eventually come to her. But perhaps she shouldn't say it out loud - after all there was no use frightening the she-cat.
"You're strong Fawnstep, don't worry. I'll catch you a frog." Maybe that would reassure her. At least a gift could put the medicine cat apprentice's troubles at ease.

[Medicine cat* x3]
Fawnstep frowned a little and shrugged as she resulted to looking down at her paws. "Uhm.. No. It's okay.. The queens and elders need to eat." She rushed to explain, offering Ravenclaw a thankful smile. "Thank you, though." She answered softly, her smile fading a little before still gracing her features. "But.. If you'd like..? It's been pretty slow today- I could come with you and try to catch some prey..?" She attempted to ask shyly.

RavenclawRavenclaw stared at Fawnstep for a moment. She looked less then amused as she took a few steps forward and came very close. "If you weren't here there would be no elders nor queens." She said very seriously for a moment as she twitched the end of her tail. Ravenclaw then sat and had to mull over for a moment. Did she want dead weight with her. Did Fawnstep even know how to hunt?
"Sure, why not." she could think of a number of reasons why she shouldn't, but the medicine cat had offered. Ravenclaw would be astounded not to take advantage of that.

Fawnstep paused a little in surprised, having expected denial in her question, so her wide green eyes were plain as day. "R-Really?" She couldn't help but let out a purr of excitement, her eyes bright. It was true, ever since she was a kit, Fawnstep had rarely wandered out of the medicine cat's den, unless it was to gather herbs, and she was a little clumsy on her paws when it came to stalking and hunting. "T-Thanks." She offered a slightly goofy grin, simply wanting to make a friend out of her fellow clan mate, since it was clear they both needed one.

RavenclawUgh. She only just realized how much of a pain this could be. With a flick of her tail she shifted on her paws. "How about we go hunting tomorrow, and maybe I'll help you look for a few herbs." Ravenclaw said. She was tired, far too tired to go out again after getting bitten by a branch in the bog trying to catch a damn frog. At least she'd be able to used the medicine cat as a distraction. Place her in one spot to make sure the slippery things didn't run off. At times like these, Ravenclaw was willing to try and do just about anything.

Fawnstep paused, blushing a little and nodding her head as she realized that, indeed, Ravenclaw had come in here for a reason, and the little red she-cat had forgotten almost as quickly as they had started their conversation. "Y-Yeah." She cleared her throat to compose her embarrassment, offering a wide smile. "That sounds good!" She reassured.
