Scorchstar narrowed his piercing orange eyes, coming upon the river, silently he padded towards the water. The large black tom inhaled deeply before releasing his breath into a sigh. Scorchstar crouched lowly to the ground, his belly almost touching the floor of RiverClan territory. What was Scorchstar out doing by the river? He was just taking a stroll, hoping not to find anyone out on his territory. There would be no questions asked, either a fight would happen, or the cat would just have to go before Scorchstar gravely injures the opposing cat or himself. The feline shifted, crawling towards the river.
A sudden sound was heard, a water vole nearing the river. A cocky grin edged at the corner of his mouth, watching carefully - he went forwards, pouncing down onto the vole. The death for the smaller creature was silent yet quick, he snapped the neck of the water vole immediately. Scorchstar's eyes went back to normal as he glared at his catch, "little..." The tom grumbled to himself, a lowly sigh escaping his lips. He lifted his paw from the water vole, glancing up and around. Was he alone? MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Little known, or so she thought, to her leader a small silver body crouched low in the reeds near the river, eyeing the larger tom and the leader of her clan. Her tail was raised just slightly above the ground and her shoulder blades rolled a little as she shifted and hunkered down into a better pouncing position. A small and playful smile dressing her maw as Silverpaw's claws flexed a little, in and out of the damp ground, helping her relax into a more flexible position. Scorchstar wouldn't know what hit him!
She beamed a little at the thought, her smile breaking out into a grin. Surely her leader would be happy and prideful that she had managed to sneak up on him without him taking note! Her body shivered with excitement and her blue eyes narrowed, one paw after another slowly beginning to creep forward as she prepared to playfully pounce out at her clan mate. She took in one last deep breath before pouncing out of the cat tails and playfully swatting a paw at the black and white cat.

Scorchstar leaned down near the slowly flowing water, the current wasn't so bad today. Various thoughts flooding into the tom's mind, his lifted his body upwards, his tail swaying from left to right. He lightly nudged his catch aside, his eyes wandering, there was another cat nearby he could tell. By now, he knew it was within his clan. However, before he could speak or make another movement, a smaller cat, an apprentice of his clan; This apprentice was Silverpaw. He turned, his face blank, the she-cat swatting a playful paw. Scorchstar nodded, seeming quite impressed, however, his face didn't show it, inside he was."You did quite well, sneaking up on me like that." His nodding stopped, "I am impressed." He gave a soft, rare smile to the apprentice. Scorchstar's tailed curled neatly around his paws as he sat down in front of the smaller feline, the smile soon disappearing, the face straight-plain once more. His alluring, gentle eyes looked over the young apprentice, "Silverpaw, I already can see you becoming a great warrior one day." He told her with full honestly, his tone serious yet proud. The tom wasn't joking nor lying, he felt this she-cat would have a great future ahead of her, this made Scorchstar proud. "You have a fine future awaiting." He whispered. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Silverpaw gazed up at the time as she waited for his reaction, the smile on her face big and silver spotted fur fluffed up with pride. "Really?!" She gasped, her eyes beaming and tail fluffing up in surprise. Her excitement shown plainly, the little she-cat not even trying to hide it, when she heard her leader's praise. "Gee- Thanks Scorchstar! She let out a loud purr, her chest fur fluffy up and her bushy tail swaying with delight against the damp ground.
"You really think so..?" Her wide blue eyes held a sense of awe as she further listened to her mentor, a loud purr still erupting from her body as her mind swirled, thinking of what would come in the future and the day she would receive her warrior name. Her smile grew big at the thoughts, her ears pricked forwards as she listened to her mentors words.

Scorchstar watched his apprentice, nodding truthfully, "well of course, Silverpaw." No - Scorchstar wasn't going to lie to his apprentice, he was going to tell her honestly how he thought. Scorchstar's mind flooded with various thoughts, positive thoughts. He was going to put forth as much effort as he could to make the best of Silverpaw, there wasn't going to be much messing around. However, Scorchstar was going to make training somewhat fun, as Scorchstar had a weak spot for young cats and especially kits. "Hey Silverpaw, would you like to start training today? If so, today will be a simple yet fun day, a game will be involved." He smiled warmly, his gaze soft. Never would Scorchstar be too harsh on the young she-cat, he didn't want to go to the point where she was frightened or intimidated by him. Scorchstar's whiskers twitched with amusement from the younger cat, his warm smile turning more broad. Rarely was Scorchstar this happy or emotional towards anyone, he guessed that having Silverpaw as an apprentice was just an exciting step forwards to a changing tom. Changing? Maybe becoming somewhat more positive. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Silverpaw paused, her eyes growing large at the question Scorchstart approached her with. Her go happy grin remained plastered on her face while she vigorously nodded her head up and down in agreement. "I'd love that!" She purred loudly, her mind suddenly swarming with possibilities of what kind of game they would play and what it would involve. Maybe Scorchstar would teach her to hunt! Or she could work on her swimming- Heck, she'd even love to bounce around in a play fight! Anything was an exciting possibility at this point! She grinned widely up at her mentor as she waited to hear this game, her ears pricked forward and tail lashing back and forth excitedly. Boy would the apprentices back at camp be jealous when she told them about this! She giggled a little at the that, her wide blue eyes holding delight and happiness as she attempted to calm her excited jitters and twitches.

Scorchstar's claws flexed, the tom who most found intimidating, harsh, and too straight-forwards was actually a softie. No one knew except Silverpaw. The tom raised to his paws, the thin black tail flicking, "We are going to start with a simple game. This will enhance your tracking skills. Yes, it may seem dumb, but one of my past apprentices soon fell in love with this game, sometimes even come to me as a warrior!" The black and white tom chuckled. His orange, beaming eyes showed excitement and curiosity, watching the excited apprentice. He finally began to explain the game.
"Basically, it's a little game of hiding seek, however. I will run off and hide, you must follow my scent trail. After finding me, roleplay how you'd tell another cat off, I don't mind you batting at me. Anything that you think will scare a cat off." He told her simply. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Silverpaw nodded her head as she patiently listened to the tom, her eyes beaming curiously as she rose up from her sitting position. "Got it!" She hummed, tail tip flicking back and forth as she turned to duck down and hide her eyes with her paws. "What should I count to?" She questioned without turning around, one of her ear tips twitching to show Scorchstar she was still paying attention. Personally she didn't think the game sounded silly or dumb at all! She loved playing hide and seek in the apprentice den, and now with her mentor?! What more could she ask for!

Scorchstar nodded, knowing the she-cat was paying attention by the twitch of her ear. Smiling warmly, Scorchstar spoke once more, "It won't take me long to hide. Count to thirty." He told her. Thirty seconds was perfect, Scorchstar was quick and swift. The large black and white tom slipped away from Silverpaw's sight, "Start counting." He purred. Scorchstar moved through the cattail, there's no way he'd swim across the river as Silverpaw probably doesn't know how to do so yet.
Thoughts flooded into his mind, sighing softly, he sneaked into a thicker area of cattail, rubbing himself against mint. There was a mint plant growing within the cattail. A cocky smile occurred curled onto the tom's face, chuckling lightly to himself. He didn't think this was too challenging, the apprentice would probably be able to track him down until the mint point. However, if she thinks, there's no way his scent would just cut off if he wasn't hidden in the mint. This should be easy but will take the young mind of Silverpaw. Somewhere hidden in her was intelligence and strategy, taking some thought and patience. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Silverpaw quickly nodded her head, humming a little as she began counting out loud. As she counted her ears twitched a little, listening to the cat tails rustle and wave as Scorchstar slipped away to hide. She shifted a little, her shoulders rolling slightly as she re-positioned herself to look up at the end of her count. "..Twenty-nine, thirty!" She called out loudly, making sure her mentor could hear. She grinned a little to herself and jumped up, her mouth slightly open as she breathed in the scents around her. Fish, vole, mint wafted through the air. She tilted her head thoughtfully before beginning to creep forward, brushing through the cat tails as she glanced around.

Scorchstar heard her voice, she finished counting. Scorchstar waited patiently in the mint, crouching low to the ground, silent he was. Scorchstar was best at keeping silent, he rarely spoke or showed emotion, but somehow, towards SIlverpaw he was different. Scrochstar showed emotion, expression, and his soft side. The tom closed his eyes, inhaling deeply, waiting calmly.
Scorchstar wasn't going to move, if one thing, Scorchstar had patience for young cats; older cats such as warriors, his patience was only limited. He practically had unlimited patience for the young she-cat. He was testing to see how long it would take her to find Scorchstar. If she didn't take long, they wouldn't have to work much on tracking, if it took her longer than Scorchstar would like, they will be practicing tracking for quite a bit. At least until it takes the time Scorchstar wants. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Silverpaw hummed thoughtfully as she followed after the scent, her silver fur brushing through the cat tails and long grass as she trailed after the sleek black and white tom. She hummed thoughtfully as she looked around, taking her time to scope through all of the possible areas as she poked her head through every little hiding spot she thought imaginable, but this little she-cat was much smarter then she was usually taken for as she took a breath and noted the scent of strong mint again. It didn't take long for the thought of Scorchstar hiding among the strong smelling plant to pop into her mind and she swiftly made her way towards the hidden patch of lovely smelling greenery.

Scorchstar still stayed still, over the powerful scent of the mint, he could sense Silverpaw. Clever, he thought. The tom knew Silverpaw would be able to find him. He made it quite easy. However, as training went on, he'll continue this, especially after teaching her how to climb, He'll be able to hide in trees then. Scorchstar's whiskers twitched with amusement, awaiting for the apprentices reaction. How would she react to the "enemy," cat he was? He reopened his eyes, smiling slightly. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Silverpaw paused carefully upon approaching the patch of mint. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a second before taking it into her own paws to barge into the cat tails, her chest puffed out pridefully and tail tip flicking as she looked down at the 'trespasser'. "You aren't supposed to be in Riverclan territory." The she-cat jumped straight the the point, her ears laying back on her head as she narrowed her eyes, a small growl emitting from her throat.

The sleek black and white tom rose to all fours, nodding to the smaller she-cat as in, "good job, you found me." He then narrowed his orange gaze, staring at her with an intimidating look he used on enemies. "And what are you going to do about it, young kit." He growled lowly, his long thin black tail starting lash with anger, although he was just acting. The tom's fur bristled, ears flattening as he acted like he was going to attack. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Silverpaw paused a little, her eyes watching the tom questioningly for a moment as she took a small step back. She sucked in a deep breath before slumping down in a crouch, her tail slowly lashing. "Ask you to leave." She stated a little bit more sternly, but the faint innocence in her newly aged apprentice voice seemed adorable and almost laughable.

The massive tom shifted, standing up straight, his ears perked, "That might just scare another clan-cat off, depending on how brave or cowardly they are." He gave the younger cat a smile, nodding. "That was pretty good for your first try, Silverpaw." His narrowed gaze returning to a more soft, warming gaze. This was an unusual look in his eyes, usually the orange, bright eyes would look cold and cruel, always looking like he was about to attack or try to intimidate another feline. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Silverpaw gazed up at the tom as she slowly gained her composure, standing up straight and grinning big as her tail tip flicked back and forth with delight. "Oh really?" She purred, her ears pricking forward and whiskers twitching a little in delight. "Thank you, Scorchstar." She hummed happily. "Do you think there anything I could have improved on? She inquired, wanting to try and improve her moves and actions to their best, possible, quality.

The tom lightly chuckled at the smaller, younger feline. Nodding, his tail flicked with amusement, "Yes, actually. There are a few things you could improve on. I bet if I were an actual enemy, you're actions might be different, attacking is usually my first choice, but warning them first is good too. If they don't go away within two warnings, I suggest giving them a little mark with make them leave or an injury that'll make them remember you. Therefore, you seem somewhat nervous when scaring me away, but I think on another apprentice it'll work, not so much a warrior. A warrior requires a little more oomph. As you get older, I guarantee you'll be much more courageous, enabling yourself to push yourself forwards instead of feeling slightly frightened of the enemy." He was practically giving her a lecture by this time. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
