Appearance - Mel is a handsome, elegant black cat with a white undercoat and dark golden eyes. He his average ears with no nicks or scratches (yet) and stands about average if a little taller. His fur is jet black with a few white hairs peeking out, the most noticeable being a thin white line across chest. His eyes are the deep gold of most black cats, clear and alert. His long tail is tipped off by a few white strands of fur.

Personality - Mel is a sucker for the spotlight. He loves to be the center of attention (Unless it's dogs, he hates dogs) and will use his good looks to his advantage. He has a thing for catnip, though some think he's a bit nuts for it. He has a over-protective side when it comes to his friends, even cats he dislikes. He's loyal and stupidly brave, and gets himself in all kinds of trouble all the time. He has a soft spot for two-legs, and his 'sister' Oo-Long, who he lived with before they both ran away from their housefolk.

History - Mel was born a feral cat, but was found and adopted by his house folk.  It was a decent life, it had food and a safe place to sleep and company for when he got lonely. One day, they brought home a dog. He and Oo-Long had left to find a home outside, and have not seen their family since. He had a decent life in the wilds of the home of the loners. He never looks back on his life as a house cat, he relies on his feral instincts to keep him and Ooly alive. He finds that he likes it better.
