PIPITSTAR of WINDCLAN
MALE
34 MOONS
WINDCLAN
LEADER
LIGHT BROWN & HAZEL
NAIVE
APPEARANCE
Pipitstar is a light brown tabby tom, his delicate striping just a few shades darker than the rest of his fur. His brown pelt fades to a slightly lighter color at his underbelly, as well as at the tip of his tail. His hazel colored eyes sparkle a warm chestnut with flecks of gold and green. Though he carries the proportionally long limbs of many Windclan cats, he still stands at lower than average height to most other toms.
PERSONALITY
Pipitstar is, above all, a compassionate cat. He cares greatly for the happiness and well-being of others, and does all he can to please everyone possible. Whether its playing games with kits, eagerly listening to the tales of elders, or having a fun chat with a clanmate, Pipitstar is deeply devoted to inspiring happiness and joy in the hearts of others, to match the nearly ever-present values he himself exudes.
Not exactly your typical leader, Pipitstar shows very little of the serious, authoritative attitudes often seen amongst his fellow 'stars. Instead, he leads with exuberance and cheer, asking favors instead of dealing out orders. He's a playful sort, openly honest with his feelings and motivations, willfully free with his affections toward others. His excitable, curious nature often lead him to explore new things with eager gusto, always optimistic of favorable outcomes.
Unfortunately, all that good will also translates to accusations of Pipitstar being too ignorant and naive for his role as leader. In many ways, these claims are accurate. Pipitstar is woefully naive in his leadership, often making choices based on heart rather than mind. His trusting nature makes him gullible to those seeking to manipulate him, and his often times overly-forgiving ways lead to many cats getting off easy for their transgressions against him. The tom himself, while painfully oblivious in most scenarios, is very much aware of the criticisms leveled against him. While he strives to be the best leader he can be for Windclan and improve upon his faults, he remains adamant that no cat is wholly bad. He firmly believes that there is good in every cat, and it is simply waiting to be discovered and encouraged to grow.

HISTORY
Pipitkit was born to Pigeonwhisker, a single mother and daughter to the clan's leader at the time, Stoatstar. He enjoyed a carefree youth of love and affection from his parent and grandparent, learning from them many important life lessons and moral values. He was slightly sheltered in his kit moons, fed words of optimism and hope by his care-givers as they sought to protect his innocent nature. The lively kitten was soon discovered to have an innate stutter, though with the support of Pigeonwhisker, he seemed not to mind tripping over his words as he spoke. As could be expected, he did receive some mild teasing from other kits at the time, but was gently coached to brush these incidents off and view his speech pattern as a special and unique thing. Diligent tutoring and practice helped to further ease his speech impediment over the moons, though there was no way to erase it completely.
He was made into an apprentice at his 6th moon, given to a proud she-cat named Swiftleap for the duration of his training. Swiftleap was a firm but motherly cat, determined to give her new charge the proper training he would need in order to flourish as a warrior. Despite some trouble in the beginning with Pipitpaw's inability to take his training seriously, some extra coaching from his mother, grandfather, and mentor helped to set the young tom on the right track. His hunting skills grew swiftly and steadily, Pipitpaw coming into his own as an accomplished tracker and hunter of all manner of prey. His fighting ability grew at a slower pace, requiring more attentive focus for Pipitpaw to grasp. By the end of his apprenticeship, the tom's enthusiasm and creativity had won out, allowing him to be a sufficient in combat, however much he strived to avoid it.
On his 16th moon, Pipitpaw was granted his full warrior name of Pipitstripe. He dived into his new rank with eager zeal, happy to do just about any job around the clan that needed to be done. He even received an apprentice of his own when he grew to be 22 moons, training Sablepaw with pride and affection. A few moons later, however, tragedy struck as Pigeonwhisker passed away after an unexpectedly vicious battle against the neighboring Riverclan. Pipitstripe did his best to stay upbeat while providing moral support to Stoatstar as well, keeping his aging grandfather happy in whatever ways possible. The leader's grief, however, was compounded when his deputy died of illness not long after. Troubled by his age and his sorrow, Stoatstar named his grandson, Pipitstripe, as the next deputy of Windclan. Many were shocked and appalled by their leader's choice, the younger tom's childish and naive personality well known throughout the clan. While he was well liked, a number of cats were skeptical of his ability to lead and direct his clanmates in the manner required from the deputy rank. Pipitstripe was forced to prove himself in the following moons, learning how to organize patrols, keep track of duties around camp, and act as support to Stoatstar in his leadership. After a few moons of hard work, Pipitstripe had won over many of his doubters, his bright and friendly demeanor steadily gaining him the support of his kinsmen.
Shortly after Sablepaw passed her assessment to become Sableblaze, Stoatstar's health took a turn for the worse. Already the oldest among the other leaders, his vivacity began to dissipate after so many hard moons of living and fighting for his clan. The leader's decline was a slow one, with Pipitstripe continuing to aid his grandfather through the last legs of his lifespan. Lucid enough to know his death was near, Stoatstar began coaching the younger tom on what to expect when he rose to leadership. All the way up until his final days, the noble leader helped to tutor his young grandson in matters of leadership and heart. Stoatstar's eventual passing was greatly mourned by all throughout Windclan. As his duty required, Pipitstripe traveled to the Moonstone soon there after to receive his nine lives.
He returned to Windclan as Pipitstar, diving into his new leadership as he did everything else- with enthusiasm and good cheer. Though certainly unconventional, Windclan adjusted to their peppy new leader with a sense of protectiveness toward the often-times naive and kit-like tom. While he lifted their spirits and kept their hopes alive, many of his warriors vowed to repay Pipitstar's unwavering kindness by helping to keep their naive, bumbling little leader safe in return.
